市场营销系具有国内一流的师资队伍和科研程度。近三年来,市场营销系西席在Journal of Marketing Research、Journal of Consumer Research、Marketing Science、Management Science、International Economic Review、Journal of Personality and Social Psychology、Production and Operations Management、International Journal of Research in Marketing、Journal of Consumer Psychology、Research Policy、以及《管理天下》等囯际国内一流营销学、管理学、经济学和生理学期刊上发表了十余篇论文。同时,市场营销系西席近五年来共主持12项国家自然科学基金项目。

市场营销系拥有先进的课程和教学体系,具有国内领先的课程和教学建设结果。市场营销学本科三大核心专业课程《市场营销学》、《消费者行为学》、以及《市场调研》先后获得国家级精品课程项目1项、教育部产学合作协同育人项目1项、上海市重点课程项目3项、上海市精品课程项目2项、以及上海市全英语示范课程项目1项。
